POW! WOW! 2020

DESCRIPTION:
We are fervent believers in showing gratitude toward those who have brought us to where we are today--and POW! WOW! is one of them.

POW! WOW! unites contemporary artists through art. One of the major video projects in Andrew’s early career was the first POW! WOW! video with Mikey Inoue from Banzai Media. Through forming a relationship with organizers Jasper Wong, Kamea Hadar, and Jeff Gress, Andrew realized the meaningful connection street art and cinematography share.

A few more POW! WOW!’s, hundreds of gigabytes of footage, and hundreds of murals later, Mikey passed the documentation torch to Andrew and the rest is history. Originated in Honolulu, Hawaii, Andrew and POW! WOW! have expanded and traveled to destinations such as Japan, Korea, Israel, and Long Beach, to name a few.

By using high energy direction to an ever-thriving mural festival that has spanned oceans, every POW! WOW! documentary is unique in its own way. However, the idea of unity and `ohana is shared from city to city, thus, it was Andrew and Redefined.Media’s mission to emulate these core pillars into the narrative of every video.
